From Ohio to Russia - JVS Alumnus Prepares for WorldSkills Competition

Her passion and love for food started at a very young age and now it is taking her places she never dreamed possible. Julia Spondike, Lorain County JVS Culinary Arts 2017 alum, will be heading to Kazan, Russia in August representing the United States at the WorldSkills Competition in cooking.

JVS Seniors Awarded over $850,000 in Scholarships

The 2019 Lorain County JVS Senior Recognition Ceremony was held at the Lorain Palace Theater on Friday, May 17th, with 411 students receiving career-technical certificates in their respective fields. Students Get Outside Education Area Ready for Learning

The Lorain County Early Learning Center (ELC) in LaGrange, has had a long collaboration with the Lorain County JVS, primarily with the Early Childhood Education program. Students in this career tech program have done internships and work experiences in the classroom for many years.

The Wellington NAPA Auto Parts store has been a long supporter of the Lorain County JVS, and when their JVS clock stopped working a few months back, Rebekah Hecock, Sales Representative at the store, made a call to Eric Robson, JVS 9th and 10th grade lab instructor.

Ohio FFA State Convention Recognizes & Honors Award Winners

Nearly ten thousand students dressed in blue and gold at the 91st Ohio FFA State Convention on May 2 and 3 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus. This annual event is a time-honored tradition to recognize those students who have transformed the future of agriculture and have earned exemplary awards.
